My journey has been shaped by a variety of experiences, including tactical communications training from members of the U.S. Military College. I’m well-versed in the concept of VUCA—Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity—and I use these principles to help individuals move from feeling overwhelmed to truly empowered.
In addition to being a mother of a child with autism, I’m also a credentialed mental health service provider with an AODA certification. I’m passionate about transforming lives and families, and I integrate the Family Constellation approach in my work, particularly for the “Finding Your North Star Autism Summit” project. One of the lead magnets I’m developing is a practical checklist, designed to guide families and individuals through their unique journeys.
With over 30 years of experience as an arts educator and academic, I’ve gained a wide range of skills, which is why my friends often call me a “Swiss Army knife” or an onion—there are many layers to my expertise! I also bring insight from my time in the federal public service, and I often reflect on how much I’ve learned since then. I’ve worked on 4 continents. I think globally, Autism and neuroinclusion have no borders! I’ve attended both public and private schools. This morning I met with a mom in Indiana, who needs help with private school accommodations. I want to stress that I can work with people in person, or remotely.
I’m hopeful that by next week, I’ll have even more exciting news to share, as I’ve been offered two incredible learning/business opportunities. My neuroinclusion arts based approach hails from my invitation as Canada’s cultural ambassador to the Austin Poetry Festival in Texas where I learned about how neurotypes intersect from President Johnston’s doctor. I solve complex problems with poetry. For example, I had 17 courses in one semester, the passing mark for each course was a C+. I converted my notes into poetry with Mnemonics, I ended up as a poetic recorder for several Canadian Government departments. I’ve addressed the House of Commons, they set up my publishing. I’m related to the Author of the Three Musketeers. My son is a genealogist, last week, I found out that I have cousins in Turkey!
Looking forward to exploring this further! Sincerely,
Ingrid Windsor
